About Cotswold Bike Works
Cotswold Bike Works, located in Bourton On The Water is owned and ran by myself, Scott Jones.
I am the current winner of Britain's best bike mechanic. Certified as a Cytech Master Technician and have also received Shimano Service Centre and Campagnolo Pro Shop training.
I work closely with Jozef Metelka, multiple World and Paralympic Champion in Track, Road and TT cycling.
My shop stocks parts and accessories to keep you pedalling, all fully endorsed by myself, otherwise I wouldn't stock them!
How To Book Your Bike In
I use an appointment system for all services.
Tube replacements and wheel trues can be brought in, no contact required.
All bookings are made through the "Book Here" buttons found on this page.

When You Arrive
I will personally assess your bike when you drop it off and give you an estimated price, so you can be assured of no hidden costs.
A text will be sent when your bike is ready.

Bike MOT
£80
Minimum needed for any bike at any time.
No parts are replaced, just like a car MOT.
Also known as a bronze, basic or quick check.
If you are experiencing any issues, then a Bike Service is required.
- Seat post removed, cleaned and refitted.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked.
- Pedals, chainset and bottom bracket checked.
- Brakes safety checked and realigned.
- Gearing indexed and lubricated.
- Tyres checked for wear and inflated
- Full bolt check to manufacturers torque specs.
Bike Service
£130
Recommended every 3 - 6 months.
This service is required for replacing standard parts like chains, cassettes, cables, brake pads and tyres.
Any bearing replacements incur an additional cost, priced at 50% off the standard rate.

Recommended every 12 months.
The only service for fully internal routed headsets.
100% guaranteed to make your bike ride like new again.
Half price if combined with Paint Protection Film Fitting or Pivot Bearing Replacement. Please me email for info.

Tubeless Tyre Set Up
£70 Pair
Starting from fresh or replacing already set up tubeless tyres, the price remains the same - it's a messy job! This includes checking all tubeless components, correctly seating tyres and installing fresh sealant. If you are purchasing a pair of tubeless tyres from me, I am willing to discount this.
Paint Protection Film Fitting
& Pivot Bearing Replacement
Both are priced at £220
Contact is required and payment is requested in advance for film or bearing kits prior to booking in due to the many variations of each.

The postcode is for the whole industrial estate, so I advise against using it.
Terms And Conditions
Enquiries are only answered during opening hours. The phone number that I text you from is not monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All prices quoted are for labour costs only unless stated otherwise.
If you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please email cotswoldbikeworks@gmail.com giving me at least 24 hours notice before your booking date. You will receive an automatic reminder 24 hours before your booking so this is an ideal time to email me if needed. Failure to do so and not showing up will result in advance payment for future bookings.
Bike storage is charged at £10 per day. This will commence seven days after I have contacted you to confirm your service completion.
After fourteen days, the bike will be removed and sold to cover my costs.
