About Cotswold Bike Works
Cotswold Bike Works, located in Bourton On The Water is owned and ran by myself, Scott Jones.
I am the current winner of Britain's best bike mechanic. Certified as a Cytech Master Technician and have also received Shimano Service Centre and Campagnolo Pro Shop training.
I work closely with Jozef Metelka, multiple World and Paralympic Champion in Track, Road and TT cycling.
My shop stocks parts and accessories to keep you pedalling and I'm able to source any other parts you require with full access to all major brands and suppliers.
How To Book Your Bike In
I use an appointment system for all of my services and repairs.
All bookings are made through the "Book Here" buttons found on this page.
You'll find easy to follow instructions and will be able to book in within 60 seconds!

When You Arrive
I will personally assess your bike when you drop it off and give you an estimated price, so you can be assured of no hidden costs.
A text will be sent to you when your bike is ready.
Bike MOT
£80
Minimum needed for any bike at any time.
No parts are replaced, just like a car MOT.
If your bike has an issue, then a service is required.
- Seat post removed, cleaned and refitted.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked.
- Pedals, chainset and bottom bracket checked.
- Brakes safety checked and realigned.
- Gearing indexed and lubricated.
- Tyres checked for wear and inflated
- Full bolt check to manufacturers torque specs.
Bike Service
£125
Recommended every 3 - 6 months.
This service is ideal to remedy a specific issue
or just to have that fresh feeling bike again.

- Full Muc-Off bike clean.
- Remediation of any single issue.
- Chain, cassette and chainset degreased.
- Electronic firmware update.
- Tubeless sealant refreshed.

Full Works Service

Recommended every 12 months.
A whole 6 hours to make your bike like new again!
The only service for fully internal routed headsets.

Pivot Bearing Replacement
£195
Recommended every 12-18 months.
Full suspension frame pivot bearings are often an overlooked essential bike component. Being exposed to dirt, water, sand and other abuses, over time your rear suspension will start to stiffen up and you may experience excessive play. Please advise of bike year, make and model at the time of booking.
Paint Protection Film Fitting
£195
Available for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Protection kits are all cut to order for each bike make, model, size, and paint finish and because of this, all frame protection kits are subject to payment in advance. A payment link will be sent to you via email. Please advise of bike year, make, model, size and paint finish (matt or gloss) at the time of booking.

All prices quoted are for labour costs only unless stated otherwise.
If you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please email cotswoldbikeworks@gmail.com giving me at least 24 hours notice before your booking date. You will receive an automatic reminder 24 hours before your booking. Failure to do so and not showing up will result in advance payment for future bookings.
Bike storage is charged at £10 per day. This will commence seven days after I have contacted you to confirm your service completion.
After fourteen days, the bike will be removed and sold to cover my costs.
