Cotswold Bike Works is owned and ran by myself, Scott Jones.
Located in Bourton On The Water.
I am the current winner of Britain's best bike mechanic and qualified to the highest level with 30 years of experience.
This guarantees that you get the best ever service, but does unfortunately mean that sometimes I am quite busy.
I work closely with Jozef Metelka, multiple World and Paralympic Champion in Track, Road and TT cycling.
My shop stocks parts and accessories to keep you pedalling and I'm able to source any other parts you require with full access to all major brands and suppliers.
How to book your bike in
I use an appointment system for all of my services and repairs.

When you arrive
I will personally assess your bike when you drop it off and give you an estimated price, so you can be assured of no hidden costs.
I will only go ahead with any work once I have your consent to do so.
A text will be sent to you when your bike is ready.
Bike MOT

Also known as a basic, bronze, or a quick check.
Absolutely NO parts are replaced on this service.
If there are any known issues then it will require my Standard service.
- Seat post removed, cleaned and refitted.
- Headset and handlebar assembly checked.
- Tyres checked for wear and inflated.
- Pedals and chainset safety checked.
- Gearing indexed and lubricated.
- Brakes safety checked and realigned.
- Full bolt check to manufacturers torque specs.
- Service sheet supplied.
Standard service

Recommended every 6 months.
This service is to remedy a specific issue, replace parts, or just to have that fresh feeling bike again.
It's my most popular value for money service.

Pivot bearing replacement
£279.99 (including bearings)
Recommended every 12-18 months.
Full suspension frame pivot bearings are often an overlooked essential bike component. Being exposed to dirt, water, sand and other abuses, over time your rear suspension will start to stiffen up and you may experience excessive play. Please advise of bike year, make and model at least three days prior to the booking.
Invisiframe protection
£299.99 (including kit)
Available for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Invisiframe kits are all cut to order for each bike make, model, size, and paint finish and because of this, all frame protection kits are subject to payment in advance. Please advise of bike year, make, model size and paint finish (matt or gloss) at least three days prior to the booking.

All prices quoted are for labour costs only unless stated otherwise.
If you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please email cotswoldbikeworks@gmail.com giving me two working days notice before your booking date.
Refunds are not given within two working days of your booking.
Bike storage is charged at £10 per day. This will commence seven days after I have contacted you to confirm your service completion.
After fourteen days, the bike will be removed and sold to cover my costs.
